Hey folks, let's set a time to meet this summer! Either email the group -or post here and we'll do the where and when.

After twelve and a half years.

Friday, Glen and I met in Soho for lunch. Walking up Broadway to meet, I wondered if I'd recognize him - but it was easy - twelve and a half years isn't that long in some ways -- but the amount of things we'd both done in those years made for an interesting lunch.



I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of the group again!

My Freakin' Idea

And I still haven't even posted yet! I'm terrible!

So, I can wrap this up for you in a jiffy. What have I done since 1993. No sweat. I have married Jessica, the woman who was my best friend at the time of our trip. We have lived together (in order) in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Ecuador, New Jersey, Wisconsin, and New Jersey again. We bought a house in need of repair, and we have done many of those repairs. We started our own business which has supported us since 1998. I have balded enough to shave the whole damn thing on a day we now remember as "Whiskey Wednesday." I have written about basketball a lot, for various magazines. The hyped up version of my bio is here.

Since 1993 I have still not learned to sing on key. I can play about a total of six songs on the guitar, all of which I learned from Ben Yeomans.

But what really matters is that we have a little girl, Molly. She recently turned two and already speaks better English than I do. We also have a dog, the same cat I had in college, and no TV reception (but a wicked addiction to Netflix).

I still vividly recall our arrival in the Delhi airport. I can taste the weight of the air and the peculiar incense, and see the skin, feet, hands, and fabric of the people surrounding us - these 15 young people, scrubbed and new to the wider world and to each other. Henry with a still red impression of innoculations delivered by a 12x12 grid of needles; Frif pressed and tidy; myself bemused by the night world so palpable outside the doors to the terminal.

That night we shared the first of many adventures - finding and traveling to our wonderful, damp, white Colonial mass of a hotel. I recall our adventures now in pieces - honey over a shared banana pancake with Mark and Ky; a night talking with Peter and Birch; bus trips, plane rides, temples, dog bites, illnesses, discoveries - and I am looking forward to meeting you all again.
